Apart from other groups these Blacks and Latinos have less human capital, so they have very less employers in their group and it is indirectly affecting their economic status and social environment also. Gender inequality was always prevailed among the Blacks.

Furthermore community policing allows citizens and government agencies to participate in crime prevention by collaborating with the police. ... It usually moves away from a hierarchycal structure because this will slow down decision making problems and it will also reducing accountable. Instead, community policing fosters horizontal integration. Here, members of the organization; even those located in the lowest levels are given the mandate to make their own decisions. Normally, specific officers are given a specific area in their community. Cultural and geographical differences between the officers and the community must not be too intense in order to facilitate cooperation between the two parties. By bringing law enforcement closer to the community, the police department is empowered in the process of crime prevention. There are four main steps involved in problem solving and these are as follows; Scanning Analysis Response Assessment In the scanning phase, police asses what are the likely problems facing the community. Afterwards, there is a need to examine what could be the possible causes of those problems hence the analysis stage. Thereafter, there is a need to come up with solutions to these underlying causes; this constitutes the response phase. Afterwards, police are supposed o examine how effective their strategies were in dealing with the problem. It should be noted that these steps can become a cycle because whenever the last step is completed, there will be a need to make some changes in all the other stages too. Siddhartha: Overcoming Misfortunes of the Past On page 132 we read "Everything that was not suffered to the end and finally concluded, recurred, and the same sorrows were undergone." What does this mean in regards to Siddhartha and any other of the characters in Hesse's story? Do you agree with this statement? Explain. This quote is taken from the context of when Siddhartha is crossing the river and he sees his reflection and it looks like his father. This quote refers to a repeating of events. It is illustrated by Brahmin being separated from Siddhartha and Siddhartha being separated from his own son. This parallels the quote in three ways. Taken literally it identifies the ââ¬Å"father-like-sonâ⬠aspect of the situation. It can be taken as a metaphor for the endlessness of time as well. Taken out of context, this quote identifies that anything that is not followed or completely worked through will continue to exist and it will repeat itself. Siddhartha left his father, Brahmin, at a young age to join the ascetics. Siddhartha is now considering the pain his father must have gone through not seeing his son again. Siddhartha's son, too, was separated from his father. Without dealing with this situation, the distance between father and son would never be reconciled. Thus the situation Siddhartha had with Brahmin would be repeated. The quote can also be interpreted as a metaphor for time. Obvious recurrences can be noted in time, suggesting that time repeats itself. Instead of a river, another symbol can be used for time, perhaps a pool. According to this quote, things repeat themselves in time. In a pool objects float around until they finally make their way to the outlet. Events swirling around in time without reconciliation are ââ¬Å"trappedâ⬠until they are dealt with. The entire pool makes up all that time is. All the experiences and thoughts of past, present, and future that have not been dismissed all contribute to the whole of time. If the quote stood alone, without the context of Siddhartha's reflections on his father and his son, it would state that anything that isn't finished through completion would forever hang in the cloud of time. ââ¬Å"Every thing that has not suffered to the end...â⬠If something is not carried on to completion, it will repeat itself until the initiative is taken to finish it. ââ¬Å" ...recurred, and the same sorrows were undergone.â⬠I can identify with this quote because at time I am prone to over committal. I will devote myself to too many things and I cannot physically complete them all.

Rustico and Alibech
Rustico and Alibech by Giovanni Boccaccio I tried to find a better picture, or at least the more decent one. But Rustico and Alibech is just a short story piece of literary by Giovanni Boccaccio, and the fact that it was written ages ago, it would seem impossible to leastwise find a good cover. Anyway, I wouldnââ¬â¢t be doing the reflection about its looks but of course, by its content. I am really wondering why my literature professor loves to give us erotic pieces to read. Just like this schtick.It is misleading. I was reading the first part of this essay with Kath and we were both so frantic in fully understanding the essence of the piece- not just because of the words per se, but because of the authorââ¬â¢s interpretations of things such as heaven, devil and hell. The whole story technically revolved around an innocent lass, who was in search for ways to honor God through clergy. She wandered in solitude at the woods of Thebais when she found this pious monk named Rustico.I f you are going to ask me what kind of remembrance it has given me, Iââ¬â¢d say that it was when Rustico taught Alibech how to put the deivil inside hell for the first time. Guys, it means sex. And it didnââ¬â¢t just end after that. They had a bunch of that.. and that.. and thatâ⬠¦ But in all those times, Alibech thought that it was still a part of her ministry because Rustico explained to her that whenever they put the devil inside hell, God is pleased. His head is pleased.There was also a time when Alibech no longer enjoy much of it because you know, you know. HAHAHA! But then, my favorite part was when Alibech was forced to go home by I-donââ¬â¢t-remember-his-name-anymore to marry him. I donââ¬â¢t wanna detail it much, you see. However, when some people asked about her experiences as a hermit, Sheââ¬â¢d proudly story tell all of it. And then people would laugh because it also happens there- not including of course, the foolishness she abode.

GRE to GMAT Conversion How Does Your Score Compare
For more than 60 years, business schools have used Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) scores to compare MBA applicants and decide who will be enrolled in their business programs and who will not. According to the Graduate Management Admissions Council, the organization that administers the GMAT, nine out of 10 global MBA students submit GMAT scores as part of the admissions process. But the GMAT is not the only standardized exam that MBA applicants can take. A growing number of schools are accepting Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores in addition to GMAT scores. The GRE is commonly used by graduate schools to assess applicant readiness. Currently, there are more than 1,000 business schools around the world accepting GRE scores as part of the MBA admissions process. That number grows every year. Comparing GRE and GMAT Scores Although both admissions exams cover similar domains and utilize many of the same types of questions to assess test-takers, the GMAT and the GRE are scored on different scales. The GRE is scored on a 130-170 scale, and the GMAT is scored on a 200-800 scale. The difference in scoring means you cant make an apples-to-apples comparison between the scores. Sometimes, the best way to compare scaled scores from two different tests is by comparing the percentiles. But this isnt really possible with GMAT scores and GRE scores. The normed populations are different, which means you cant accurately convert and compare percentiles from the two tests. Another issue is the way the scores are used. Unlike the GMAT, the GRE does not provide a total score. The GRE test makers recommend keeping GRE Verbal Reasoning scores and GRE Quantitative Reasoning separate when making admissions decisions. The makers of the GMAT, on the other hand, recommend using the GMAT total score when making admissions decisions. Predicting GMAT Scores Based on GRE Scores Business schools are accustomed to making admissions decisions based on GMAT scores, and many of them prefer to use the context of the GMAT to interpret GRE scores. To make things as easy as possible for business schools, ETS, the makers of the GRE, created a GRE comparison tool that makes it quick and easy for business schools to predict an applicants GMAT score based on scores from the Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning sections of the GRE. This makes it much easier for admissions reps to compare candidates who took the GRE with candidates who took the GMAT. The GRE comparison tool uses a multiple linear regression equation to predict total GMAT scores based on GRE General Test scores. The formula is as follows: GMAT Total score -2080.75 6.38*GRE Verbal Reasoning score 10.62*GRE Quantitative Reasoning score This tool also uses regression equations to predict GMAT Verbal and Quantitative scores from the GRE Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning scores. The formulas are as follows: GMAT Verbal score -109.49 0.912*GRE Verbal Reasoning scoreGMAT Quantitative score -158.42 1.243*GRE Quantitative Reasoning score Using the GRE Comparison Tool You can use the formulas shown above to convert your GRE score into a GMAT score. However, the GRE comparison tool is the quickest, easiest way to convert your GRE score into a GMAT score. This tool is available on the ETS website and is free to use. You do not have to register on the site, create an account or provide your email address. To use the GRE comparison tool, youll need your GRE Verbal Reasoning score and your GRE Quantitative Reasoning score. Enter those two scores into the provided boxes in the online form. Youll then be provided with several predicted GMAT scores: a GMAT total score, a GMAT Verbal score, and a GMAT quantitative score. GRE and GMAT Comparison Charts You can find a lot of different charts online that can be used to convert and compare GRE and GMAT scores. These charts are easy to use, but they are not always entirely accurate. If a chart was the most appropriate way to convert the scores, the ETS would provide a simple chart. To get the most accurate conversion and comparison, you need to use the GRE comparison tool. And since this is the tool that business schools will be using to convert and compare scores, you can be confident in the accuracy of the tool.
